His little meows were almost drowned out by the roar of the bin lorry.

Almost.

But just in time, Tiny Tim's faint cries were heard.

A binman went to investigate and found a tiny white kitten nestled among the rubbish in the back of his huge truck.

The poor puss had been dumped in a bin at just 2 days old.

What might have happened to his siblings didn't bear thinking about.

But this little cat was alive.
