Fruit tree triage

To enjoy good harvests of fruit over the months ahead, we need to put a bit of work into their care. Also, once the fruit is harvested, get out the secateurs to give fruit trees a summer prune. This encourages new growth and keeps trees at a manageable height.

Generally, it’s important to keep a close eye on fruit trees during summer. Regularly check the fruit, leaves and stems for any sign of pest or disease problems.
