Scandi noir descends into folk horror
It strikes me that a sense of place and atmosphere are somewhat nebulous things in works of fiction. As a novelist myself, I’m always extremely gratified if readers comment favourably on these aspects of my work, but I never really know how I did it, at least not consciously.
