Court rules load shedding is unconstitutional

GROUNDBREAKING JUDGMENT

IN A groundbreaking judgment against Eskom and load shedding, the Gauteng High Court, Pretoria, yesterday ordered the minister of electricity to exempt all public health institutions such as hospitals and clinics, and public schools and police stations, including satellite stations, from load shedding.
