Tomorrow, people across the world will take a moment to recognise that in their midst is a sizeable percentage of their population living with disabilities and who are otherwise largely marginalised.
Of particular interest are pupils in South Africa’s “special schools” – the group of children living with disabilities.
At the classroom level in special schools, noble men and women daily invest their very souls in “raising up” their pupils with disabilities “to be more than they can be”.
Let’s reflect on some of the disabilities and consider some of the challenges they would present
