GREER FENDS OFF KELLY FOR REPEAT KILLARNEY HISTORIC VICTORY

Defending champion Jonny Greer (Ford Sierra Cosworth 4x4) edged out challenger Donagh Kelly (BMW M3) to clinch a thrilling 3.7-second victory on the Killarney Historic Rally.

Rain on the eve of the rally was followed by frost and the organisers spread 30 tons of salt early in the morning over the three-stage loop to ensure the best possible conditions.
