Do I need a TV licence? Warning from DWP ahead of upcoming price hike

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has said not everyone has to pay the TV licence, after the recent announcement of a price increase.

The annual price of a TV licence is set to rise from £159 a year to £169.50 from April 1.

The DWP has issued a warning to households who could be eligible for a free licence.

It applies to people aged 75 and over who claim pension credit.
