Sir Keir Starmer criticised for praising Margaret Thatcher’s ‘sense of purpose’

Sir Keir Starmer has faced criticism after he praised former Conservative leader Margaret Thatcher in a bid to appeal to Tory voters.

Writing in the Sunday Telegraph, the Labour leader heaped praise on Mrs Thatcher for attempting to “drag Britain out of its stupor by setting loose our natural entrepreneurialism”.
