THE CHAIRMAN'S CHALLENGE

Until recently, working in finescale gauges such as EM required the use of hand-built track, but in 2019, the EM Gauge Society (EMGS) released a small range of woodensleepered bullhead rail ready-to-lay track. Made by Peco, the range consists of flexi-track together with B6 leftand right-hand points.

To promote this track, in early 2020, the Society announced its “Chairman's Challenge” competition for small layouts built exclusively from the new track. With our diesel modelling members well catered for with ‘Navigation Road’ (BRM September 2023); the advent of this competition was just the spur the steam modellers of Sarum Finescale Group needed to create a second Group layout.
