Cannondale SuperSix Evo

It’s safe to say the Cannondale SuperSix Evo has a pretty decent heritage. Thanks to its well-rounded performance characteristics, the model has amassed plenty of pro wins in its decade-plus lifespan and built a reputation as one of the best-riding race bikes on the market. That said, when this bike launched earlier in the year, four years had passed since its previous update, which is a long time at the performance end of the market.

Almost all the brand’s main competitors had launched bikes in that period, but Cannondale says it hasn’t been short of new ideas itself. The latest SuperSix Evo is evidence of that, because the bike comes to market with plenty of novel design features and considerable claims of improved performance.

The headlines include it being 12 watts more efficient than the old bike at 45kmh despite a substantial weight reduction, thanks to a new composite construction. But it’s not all change.
