One in 100 older adults suffers a serious reaction after a Covid jab
Around 1 percent of older people suffered a serious, life-threatening reaction within a month of having an mRNA Covid-19 jab, a major review has discovered.
Reactions included a major heart attack, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), encephalitis, stroke or pulmonary embolism, a study involving more than 6 million people found. DVT and pulmonary embolism were the most common reactions. In all, 63,880 people suffered a life-threatening reaction within 28 days of vaccination, a figure excluding reactions that happened after the study ended.
