St Davids Cathedral
St Davids is the smallest city in Britain and its 12th-century cathedral has one of the most beautiful locations, tucked into a hillside in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The building is named after the patron saint of Wales, born nearby. This year, festive music includes a Christmas Spectacular (9 December), Handel’s (16 December) and the Nine Lessons and Carols service (22 December). ‘We are the only choir in the country to have a main soprano line of females aged between eight and 18,’ says Ben Richards, the cathedral’s music administrator.
