MASTER YOUTUBE’S SUPERB NEW TOOLS (and skip ads!)

Google gave YouTube a major redesign in late 2022, adding ‘ambient mode’ for more natural colours and changing links to buttons to minimise distractions when you’re watching videos (see www.snipca.com/48210). One year on and it’s revamped YouTube again, introducing several clever options for controlling playback and organising what you’ve watched.

Before we explain how to use them, watch this short video from Canadian tech blogger Rene Ritchie, who was asked by YouTube to talk about what’s new: www.snipca.com/48147. He says the new tools make YouTube “easier to use, more fun and more engaging”, which we’d agree with.

We’re less sure about his claim that the design tweaks “visually glow up the whole entire experience”. One change in particular
