TEENAGE RALLYCROSS STAR O’DONOVAN WINS ON RALLY DEBUT

British Rallycross champion Patrick O’Donovan made a winning stage rally debut when he took his Hyundai i20 R5 to a 33-second victory in the second round of the Motorsport News-supported MGJ Engineering Circuit Rally Championship.

O’Donovan, 19, and co-driver Jack Morton were quickest on seven of the eight stages at Cadwell Park and signalled their intent by heading Paul Murro and Craig Simkiss (Ford Fiesta R5) by one second on a slippery opening stage.
