• DMC pearl cotton size 8 (10g per ball): 1 ball #48 shaded pink (A) Small amount #104 shaded yellow (B)
• Size 8/1.50mm steel crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Sewing needle
• White sewing thread

GAUGE

2 blocks over a bar and 1 lacet = 1 inch; rows 1–5 = 1 inch

Flower = 11/4 inches in diameter

PATTERN NOTES

When working from chart and graph, read all odd-numbered (right side) rows from right to left, all even-numbered (wrong side) rows from left to right.

Join with a slip stitch unless otherwise stated.

SPECIAL STITCHES

Beginning 2-block increase (beg inc): Ch 8, dc in 4th ch from hook and in next 4 chs, dc in next dc.

End 2-block increase (end inc): Fdc (see Special Stitches) in last st of row, [fdc in base of last fdc made] 6 times.

Foundation dc (fdc): Yo, insert hook in indicated st or sp, yo, pull up a lp, yo, pull through 1 lp on hook (base made), [yo, pull through 2 lps on hook] twice.

Block: Dc in next 3 sts, or 2 dc in ch-2 sp, dc in next dc.
