Many companies tried their hand at scooter manufacturing in the 1950s and 60s, but few managed to dent the international dominance held by both Vespa and Lambretta. One scooter that enjoyed relative success was the Agrati Capri, with a production run that lasted for more than a decade. Well priced and stylish, its success was mostly hampered by an uneven approach to manufacturing and if the company had been able to settle on a clear marketing strategy it could have posed a real threat to the ‘big two.’
