Film: SQUARING THE CIRCLE (THE STORY OF HIPGNOSIS)

Director and photographer Anton Corbijn’s deep connection to the music industry stretches from snapping picsand in the 1980s and 90s to album covers, music videos and his collaborations with Depeche Mode and U2. He strayed into feature films with and so it’s not surprising that his first documentary should be about Hipgnosis, the hippies who designed some of the most iconic album covers of all time. Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey “Po” Powell took advantage of vast budgets and hallucinogens to create LP covers for Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, 10cc, Peter Gabriel and Paul McCartney and Wings.
