Festive hellebores

Blooming from late winter to early spring, the hellebore gives colour to the garden and provides a flower that can make a simple but effective indoor arrangement. Just a few stems of these beautiful flowers placed in a vase inspired me to interpret them in watercolour.

The delicate pink flowers and strong green leaves provide a perfect complementary mix. Continuing with the same colour palette I chose to place them in a soft-pink opaque glass vase and add a background of green to contrast and enhance the pink of the flower heads.

Adorned with crowns of showy goldenyellow stamens, a gold gel pen accentuated their beauty and added a festive touch, not only to the flowers but also to the vase.
