If traditionalists looked down their noses at the Chinese Formula 4 teams that did battle three years running to keep the Macau Grand Prix alive, their snobbery was out of place last weekend as the first proper F4 shootout took place.
The Macau F4 Race, as it was titled, repaid the teams for their Covid-era efforts as well as bringing the first real opportunity for drivers from myriad F4 championships to do battle on one level playing
