Right to grow success
The city of Hull is throwing out green shoots of revival by becoming the first place in the UK to let its citizens grow their own produce on neglected and empty council land.
The ‘right to grow’ move will create a way of producing healthy food with no road miles and a light carbon footprint, and also boost community links as well as people’s physical and mental health.
