Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Rather than attempting to one-up the huge open world of the last Assassin’s Creed, with this latest game Ubisoft’s taking aim at the series’ roots. A more condensed setting, the removal of many obtrusive RPG elements, and a linear narrative might make this sound like an appealing throwback but, like a clumsy assassin, everything is somewhat undermined by the sloppy execution.

This is a standalone prequel that explores the origins of the enigmatic assassin Basim, who played a significant role as a supporting character in Valhalla.
