Looking for a nice trials bike? Well, this OSSA MAR is probably gone now but may well have something similar in its ever-changing line-up. This particular OSSA had completed 68 miles since a full rebuild and is typical of the MAR – Mick Andrews Replica – which was so popular during the Seventies. Mick was OSSA works rider and developed their chubby trail-type motorcycle into a top competition mount. He completed a hat-trick of SSDT wins as he reduced the bulky appearance of the OSSA to something much more suitable for trials than trail riding. Never a huge motorcycle factory, OSSA was originally a cinema projection equipment manufacturer; it perhaps didn’t have the resources to capitalise on Mick’s successes in the way it should but the mid-70s MAR is a good-looking motorcycle.
