There was a very different feel to the British Touring Car support bill this season. With Ginetta deciding to concentrate on the British GT package, there were none of the Yorkshire machines at TOCA events for the first time since 2007.
Instead, the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB became a permanent BTCC support series for this year, while a revolving cast of club championships provided some much-needed variety and intrigue when joining the regulars.
But what remained the same was the abundance of impressive performances and memorable moments, even if many of the title battles were settled with races to spare.
