Terrena Griffiths used to pull on corporate wear and spend her days solving problems as a high-flying business operations manager. Now, as founder of The Chip Packet Project NZ, the Auckland mum-of-two volunteers endless hours and love into this charity that warms New Zealand’s most vulnerable.
“We make robust survival blankets that are exactly like the search-and-rescue ones on TV – with foil inside that reflects your heat back into you – except they’re made from used chippy packets!” says Terrena, 51, who makes handwoven kete baskets for the homeless
