Apples and bananas

Apples and bananas are often found lurking in lunchboxes, but that doesn’t mean it’s the end of their life. Before you throw away uneaten fruit, think about chopping it up and storing it in freezer bags until you have enough to whip up a delicious batch of homemade baking. Both apples and bananas can also be used as baking substitutes in place of eggs, butter and yoghurt.
