You might expect a supergroup featuring members of Amebix, Discharge and Nausea tothat serves as a jumping point for False Fed. treads much closer to moody post-punk, with ex-Amebix guitarist Stig Miller churning out reverb-soaked peals of guitar while drummer Roy Mayorga (Amebix, Nausea, Stone Sour) lays down a dirge-like beat. Discharge vocalist Jeff Janiak is the biggest surprise, mixing his glass-gargling growl with a gothic croon and spokenword passages. At their hardest they hit like early Killing Joke, but this is more about atmosphere and a dark, dank feel.
