After two decades, you know what to expect from Gama Bomb: high-octane thrashfollows that premise, but with a few curveballs served up for good measure. Opener comes on like an Iron Maiden epic, with a guest rap from 80s electro/hip hop pioneer The Egyptian Lover. The classic metal elements make sporadic appearances throughout, with and the anti-religion pun-fest of throwing out shiny melodies and chunky trad riffs. But then the spooktacular and grab you by the ghoulies in a familiar, thrashing way. It’s big, dumb fun, which is exactly what you want from GB.
