Back in the late 1960s my Granny and Grandad went to see the Pope. Granny, a devout Catholic, had wanted to go to the Vatican for most of her adult life. Grandad took this as the opportunity to have a foreign holiday. They rode there on their Lambretta. They were regular tourers in the UK on the scooter - quite a large one, I recall, but then everything is large when you are seven. They saw the Pope, but I don’t think he saw their Lambretta.

I was reminded of this while talking to Roger about his extremely rare LambrettaTY175 was Lambretta’s flagship luxury model, with trim to show it.
