When a 2.5-acre lot became available in an ideal location—loaded with potential to construct a dream home—Hendersonville, Tennessee, residents Ashley and Cale Rice quickly jumped on the opportunity. “We felt ready to build something that better suited our needs as we were getting ready to start a family,” Ashley says. “So, we didn’t hesitate!” The couple designed the home themselves and partnered with an architect to further customize the floor plan.
