“Singapore women, past and present, have contributed significantly to our nation’s development, whether it be in the workplace… or at home, where many sacrifice their careers, their strengths, and their sleep, and dedicate their energies and time to raise the children and take care of their household,” notes Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment of Singapore, in her keynote speech as guest-of-honour at Her World’s Women of the Year 2023 gala.
Ms Fu adds that it’s important to celebrate women, so as to provide a tangible record of women’s representation and success that women can achieve.
