THE LIFE OF RASPUTIN

Rasputin was born around 1869 but though sometimes being referred to as ‘the mad monk’, he actually failed to takefor a number of pilgrimages. Throughout these years he also became known as something of a magician, with powerful healing abilities. In 1903 he demonstrated these by seemingly curing Alexei, the young son of Tsar Nicholas II of haemophilia.
