Marking its tenth anniversary, independent Swiss watchmaker HYT unveiled the Conical Tourbillon Titanium Blue, integrating an inclined tourbillon to enhance chronometric performance. Inspired by 1920s horologist Walter Prendel, master watchmaker Eric Coudray designed an oblique tourbillon angled at 30 degrees with the escape wheel at 15 degrees, achieving improved stability and rate regularity. At the heart of the 48mm case beats the hand-wound 701 TC calibre, indicating the hours via HYT’s fluidic system, a unique way of displaying the time using liquids inside capillary tubes.
