Windy began building boats 57 years ago and while it hasn’t yet built as Heinz has varieties, the company’s back catalogue does encompass a formidable range of popular sportscruisers such as the Ghibli, Tornado, Bora and Grand Mistral. In common with its Windy siblings, the subject of this report is named after a wind: the Zonda, a dry wind which howls around the eastern slopes of the Andes at 150mph.
