YOU know when the opposition, opponent or competitor is flummoxed, washed up and out of ideas because they play the man, not the ball. It's an age-old saying that reflects a lack of vision, goals and strategy, which results in tactical sniping and foot-tripping antics. That's my synopsis of the NZHRA newsletter's criticism directly fairly and squarely at me as the guilty editor who dared challenge the status quo by suggesting there could be, and should be, room for improvement.
