TRACK LIMITS

Sony’s Gran Turismo movie hit cinemas this summer, telling the remarkable story of Jann Mardenborough’s transition from talented sim racer to decorated racing driver. It’s significant for several reasons, not least of which being the idea that a two-hour movie about gaming is now considered summer blockbuster material. But what we’ll remember the most about it is that it represents that last moment such a story would be out of the ordinary. In the near future, this would just be a story about a racing driver getting his break.
