On Saturday, 9 September, a multitude of cars descended upon Activate Community Park in Hamilton for the inaugural From The Streets community fundraiser event. After enduring severe funding cuts earlier this year, which significantly impacted Community Link Trust, Adam P Photographer and Astra Patmore, general manager of Community Link Trust, conceived a unique idea for an event that exuded a real sense of community.
Adam had long desired to organise a car meet, and Astra recognised an opportunity to create something extraordinary. Thus, From The Streets was born — an event where everyone could bring their cars, spend time with lead time, Adam, Astra, and the Community Link team diligently worked to bring it all together.
