“Why did you decide that now was the right time to retire?

I’m almost 44 and it’s not easy to still play professional football. I was mentally and physically tired. It wasn’t a difficult decision. I have other things to do in my life. A lot of people have called from around the world to congratulate me on my career. I wasn’t phenomenal with my feet like Messi, but I played with my soul, my heart and everything I have.
