Hi Mau When I was 17, I rode a newly acquired 70cc Capri scooter from Nottingham to St Ives in Cornwall. I had just joined the Nottingham Scooter Club, met a 19-year-old Barbara, who had a Lambretta Li, and we became friends.
I suggested going on holiday to Cornwall; we ended up going for a week and stayed two. Both of us were riding on L plates at that time – and yes, we rode around in shorts and flip flops!
