When my wife Diana started a job that needed a car, she wanted a Morris Minor because she had learnt to drive on her grandfather's Minor. So we bought one, which turned out to be not quite so good as it had first appeared, as is often the case. So of necessity I taught myself to weld and do general repairs. This was many years ago, in the days before YouTube and the internet, back when you had to read a book or find somebody you could ask for advice.
