“IT’S A DREAM”

 , 40, has become a national sensation after his latest film, , featuring Kerala’s mega floods, was nominated as India’s official entry for the 2024 Oscars. Joseph, who studied engineering, has pursued cinema as his passion and also acted in movies during his decade in Malayalam cinema. He has made (2014), (2016) and the OTT-release (2021). Being witness to the 2018 floods inspired Joseph to make a film rooted in reality. The film’s cast includes Tovino Thomas, Aparna Balamurali, Tanvi Ram, Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Narain and Lal. Joseph speaks to INDIA TODAY about his film’s selection as India’s official Oscar entry.
