Compiling the Out100 is no easy task. Out’s editors received thousands of submissions from candidates, readers, publicists, and fans. The pool really is an embarrassment of riches. There are so many LGBTQ+ people making a difference in the world that we could easily make the Out1000 if there were enough pages and time.

First, thank you to everyone who voted online in our Readers’ Choice poll. That winner of that vote was , the CEO of Rainbow Media.
