SCOTT PORTELLI AND OM SYSTEM GOING WILD

Check out Scott Portelli's stunning photography and you'll quickly note that he doesn't take things easy. If he's not under the waves, he's among the clouds or facing up to some of the most challenging environments on the planet. Scott estimates that he has spent thousands of hours in remote locations across the globe, filming and photographing nature, wildlife and the underwater environment.

He's also an accredited licensed RPAS/ UAV/UOeC drone pilot and has worked on numerous aerial projects for some of Australia's iconic tourism destinations as well as in Antarctica, Arctic, Azores, Macquarie Island, Falkland Islands, Norfolk Island, Lord Howe Island and South Pacific. Working in extreme conditions, Scott's practices a low impact, approach to filming wildlife in their natural environment in a non-invasive way to capture natural behaviour.

Scott has wonFestival in Marseille in 2016. And his film piece on the behaviour of competitive Humpback groups, The Art Of Capturing A Heat Run, was honoured at the Nature's Best Windland Smith Rice International Photography Awards in 2018. More recently, his film Gentle Giants was selected for the International Ocean Film Festival in San Francisco in 2020 and the Ocean Film Festival in Australia.
