When we decided to shoot the cover for our adventure issue, little did we know that the shoot itself would be an adventure, with nearly zero visibility and torrential downpour.

Tucked away in the lush foothills of the Himalayas, The Westin Resort & Spa is a cosy cocoon. When we arrive, the property is shrouded in mist and mystery, but on a clear day, you can spot its brown and amber façade and the and . Speaking of culinary offerings, there is a shining jewel at The Westin Resort & Spa, Himalayas—Toya. The progressive Asian restaurant is a casual eatery that opens daily for dinner. Diners here can expect a live teppanyaki experience in the warm interiors or savour al fresco meals outisde enhanced by a view of the forested hillside. Throughout the course of our stay, we also sip on endless cups of coffee from Haven Lounge in the hotel lobby. Not only does it cater to a caffeine addict crew like ours, but also those who love craft cocktails. Additionally, there is a selection of small plates for lunch and dinner on offer here. Post our gastronomic expedition, we make our way to explore the property and find the perfect shoot locations for our cover star—Vaani Kapoor.
