Bourne again

CLEARY’S super-heavyweight, Joe C Bourne, made it back-to-back Midlands titles after a fan-friendly punch up at Acocks Green’s gym in Birmingham.

Bourne, pipped in last year’s pre-quarters by Harrison Dent (Morecambe), outworked Alessin Koshaim (Toe 2 Toe) over three-twos to win unanimously.

Bourne jabbed effectively and worked the body well, and Koshaim only just stayed on his feet in the dying moments of the second after Bourne found his chin with a left hook-right hand-right uppercut combination.
