John Locker was born in County Durham and grew up in North Yorkshire. He moved to the South West when he joined the Navy and after six years of service has been based in Cornwall ever since. A lifelong angler the 37-year-old has held the British shore-caught bass record since 2012 and in 2018 started his YouTube channel, The Fish Locker, which currently has over 339,000 subscribers.
