Turn your iPhone into a smart display in iOS 17

Arguably the biggest new feature in iOS 17, which is now available for iPhones from the past five years (see list at www.snipca.com/47749), is StandBy mode. This in effect turns your phone into a smart display when you position it horizontally while charging.

You can use StandBy mode to show the time on a large clock, view photos from your library and interact with widgets like those on your Lock or Home screen. These include a calendar, weather forecast, to-do list, music
