Deeming what constitutes ‘the best car in the world’ is always going to be about as subjective as something gets, but there’s no doubt that some cars have held a greater claim to such a title than others. Whether it’s because of their luxury or sporting abilities, sheer beauty or being a supremely capable all-rounder, the models we’ve chosen here have all been in with a shout over the years.

Of course, they’re all rather special in their own ways, and whichever one you prefer you’ll be owning something very special.
