Cradling newborn Darcey-Helen in my arms, a soppy grin spread across my face.
‘She’s my little pumpkin,’ I told my girlfriend Kerri-Ann, then 24.
It’d been a shock when Kerri-Ann fell pregnant shortly after we met.
I was in my late 30s, with two teenagers already.
But she moved in, and when Darcey arrived in May 2017, I was besotted with them both.

Darcey was barely a week old when Kerri-Ann vanished with her at 11:30pm, and didn’t come back for three days.
