Like many young families juggling busy careers, commutes and childcare, Sophie and Rich Vermont knew things had to change. ‘I’d been in the same job for 10 years and really wanted a new challenge,’ explains Rich. ‘We had a third child on the way and could see our lifestyle couldn’t be sustained. We wanted more time with the children and for them to have more time with their grandparents, too, which is what prompted us to look at Yorkshire.’
