THE NATUROPATH’S GARDEN

THE IMPORTANCE OF OUR HEALTH, THE HEALTH OF OUR PETS AND BY EXTENSION THE ENVIRONMENT CANNOT BE OVERESTIMATED. IT WAS THIS THINKING THAT LED TO MY CAREER AS A NATUROPATH.

My name is Karen and Jack is my partner. We live in a lovely part of the world, in the coastal temperate climate of Sydney’s northern beaches.

I have been interested in gardening since a child — my great grandfather grew food and kept chickens in the backyard until his mid-90s when he passed away — and have always used whatever space I had (even balconies) to grow food.

Now semiretired, I studied physics and ran nuclear medicine departments in various hospitals then changed direction and spent 40 years as a clinical naturopath and part-time academic at the University of Sydney.
